Nacidos y criados en Ann Arbor, Deb y Chris VandenBroek han completado su ciclo. Despu\u00e9s de dejar su hogar al terminar la universidad, casarse en 1971 y pasar tiempo fuera del estado, finalmente regresaron a Ann Arbor para criar a su familia. Sus v\u00ednculos de toda la vida con la comunidad han forjado un compromiso profundo y duradero de retribuir.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

En retrospectiva, se sienten agradecidos por las oportunidades que moldearon su camino, y esa gratitud es el coraz\u00f3n de su filantrop\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambos crecieron en familias de medios modestos, cada uno con un padre inmigrante, y arraigados en s\u00f3lidos valores del Medio Oeste. Vieron a sus familias aportar lo que pod\u00edan, siempre que pod\u00edan. Hoy, Deb y Chris siguen un poco asombrados por la vida que han construido. Ven su \u00e9xito como una mezcla de trabajo duro y buena fortuna, un regalo inesperado que conlleva la responsabilidad moral de ayudar a otros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando se le pregunta sobre su prop\u00f3sito en la vida, Chris responde sin dudarlo: \u201cAyudar a otras personas\u201d.\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Su conexi\u00f3n con Packard Health comenz\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s del trabajo profesional de Deb en salud comunitaria con Ed Pierce y Jerry Walden, y se fortaleci\u00f3 cuando Chris se convirti\u00f3 en paciente. Con el tiempo, su participaci\u00f3n se ha vuelto tanto personal como de principios. Cuando piensan en Packard, piensan en accesibilidad, equidad y servicio aut\u00e9ntico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como pacientes, valoran no sentirse apurados nunca, que una persona real conteste el tel\u00e9fono y tener una farmacia y un portal para pacientes que respondan y sean f\u00e1ciles de usar. Han sido testigos directos de la compasi\u00f3n y el respeto que definen la atenci\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como dice Deb a menudo: \u201cTodo el mundo merece un Packard\u201d.\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Se inspiran por igual en el esp\u00edritu de colaboraci\u00f3n y liderazgo de Packard. Las alianzas con organizaciones como Food Gatherers, Avalon Housing, el Delonis Center y Dawn Farm demuestran un compromiso con servicios integrales que abordan las realidades completas de la vida de los pacientes. Admiran la humildad y la dedicaci\u00f3n incansable del Director Ejecutivo Ray Rion para forjar alianzas, expandir servicios y fortalecer la sostenibilidad financiera, todo al servicio de los pacientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris cree que la educaci\u00f3n y la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica son los cimientos de una sociedad sana y pr\u00f3spera. \u201cNo hay mejor lugar para donar\u201d, dice. Deb est\u00e1 de acuerdo, se\u00f1alando que si bien los grandes sistemas de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a menudo tienen recursos significativos, la atenci\u00f3n basada en la comunidad depende de la inversi\u00f3n y la confianza locales.
