We Have Three Year-Round Food Pantries

Woman taking cans of food from pantry.

Food insecurity and a lack of access to fresh food is a very real issue in our community. Packard Health is trying to help fill the gap for its patients, offering three food pantries stocked by Food Gatherers, and the seasonal Fresh-a-Sprout FREE fresh food market.

Food Pantries

Appointments are not necessary and everything is free and open to the entire community — patients and non-patients alike.

Please call (734) 971-1073 before you visit our food pantries to confirm that they are open on that day.

Pantry Guidelines

When visiting our pantries please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • If you are experiencing food insecurity that is not addressed with our current pantry operations, please inform our staff.
  • One person per household is welcome to shop one Packard Health pantry location weekly.
  • Shoppers must be 18+ yrs old.
  • Shopping guidelines: one meat item/household, one dairy item/household
  • Stocked provisions are based on what is available through our partner, Food Gatherers. We are unable to accommodate specific dietary requests.
  • Please be patient and considerate of others waiting to use the pantry. Rude or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Clients are accompanied to the pantry on a first come/first serve basis.
  • Should necessary circumstances arrive, the pantry may close without notice.

Fresh-a-Sprout FREE Fresh Produce Market

The Fresh-a-Sprout FREE fresh produce market is opening on June 2nd! All the produce offered in the Fresh-a-Sprout market is donated by The Farm at Trinity Health and is FREE to all community members.

FRESH-A-SPROUT PACKARD HEALTH

The market is held each Tuesday through the end of produce season unless there is heavy rain/snow fall and/or thunder and lightning. It alternates between our Packard Health West location on Pauline Boulevard and our Packard Health Main location on Carpenter Road.
