Are you registered to vote?
Check your registration status and register to vote by visiting www.nass.org/can-I-vote. It's best to register as soon as possible!
In Michigan you can register online until:
- October 22 for the November presidential election
- July 23 for the local August primary
And you can register in person any time up through Election Day:
- November 5 presidential election
- August 6 primary

You can vote absentee, early, or in person on Election Day.
- If voting absentee:
- Return your ballot early. You can return your ballot by mail, or to your clerk’s office directly. Voters are encouraged to return absentee ballots as early as possible. Michigan absentee ballots returned by mail must be received by mail or returned in person to your city or township clerk no later than 8:00 pm on Election Day.

- Michigan has 9 days of early voting. Voters can cast ballots during these early voting days as if it were election day. They will run the ballot through the tabulator themself.
